Goal: To design, build, and teach a class to entice students to enroll in the summer session of the Communications Department at Plymouth University.
Process: During this project, I was a visiting professor at Plymouth University in New Hampshire. Although I am originally from New York, I was so impressed with Red Sox fans that I decided to teach a course on sports. I designed the online class and built and taught it in the Blackboard Learning Management System. Around this time, the Red Sox won their first World Series since 1918. ... Coincidence?
Result: A sufficient number of students enrolled and their course evaluations were so positive that I was asked to offer the course again the following summer.
