Goal: To teach argument analysis online for a graduate communication class at the Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Southern California.
Process: I was the main instructional designer. The subject matter expert gave me a graphic (see Graphic 01) titled "Identify the Structure of an Argument" on which to base a media piece. I knew that Frank Luntz had recently been a guest speaker in her class. I sent her a video of Bill Maher interviewing Frank Luntz. She asked me to apply the argument structure to a specific part of the video. I created a multimedia lesson that is storyboarded below Graphic 01.
